I don’t even know how to stress this enough but the team at the cock O’Barton are second to none! We found this venue for our wedding on an app and after seeing quite a few we didn’t know what to expect. From our first meeting our first wedding planner Sian was so oranised and lovely, having prepared a two page document for us on costs and how the day could go. When we were viewing the private dining room we heard the chefs cheering and were told they were watching the football while cooking, we loved that! Everyone there clearly loves where they work and all are having the best time and it really shows and they are infectious to be around. Sian left the team part way through our planning and Alethea took over and I was a tad scared of the change but from her first message she was wonderful, the handover had already happened and she knew everything we wanted, she just knew from talking to us what vibe we wanted and she couldn’t do enough to make sure our day was perfect. The venue it’s self is just beautiful, the grounds are stunning and the rooms are beautifully decorated. But what makes this venue different is the team! From the wedding planners to the chefs and the bar staff, every single person were so nice and helpful, Alethea, Jane and Katie in particular really made our day what is was. Other venues seem to want something for everything but not this one, anything they could do for us they did, no hesitation This review could go on an on about how amazing this venue is but if you’re hesitant about booking here this is your sign to do it! Alethea - I have no idea where to start to be honest! From start to finish, you and your team have been amazing! Throughout the planning stages, nothing was too much trouble - even with my endless changes to the table plan at the last minute.
On the day, everything ran so smoothly, and I genuinely felt like I could relax and didn't have to think about anything. The food was delicious! Everything fed back from our tasting was taken into consideration and Chris and I really enjoyed it all.
I honestly cant thank you and your team enough - honestly, nothing was too much trouble! Even printing my speech last minute in the morning for me! The team made us feel welcome on the Friday, from the minute we checked in.

From the first meeting we had with Alethea we knew that the Cock O’Barton was the venue we wanted to choose for our wedding day, she was incredibly personable and easy going and along with the beautiful venue, the laid back nature of the venue was what really sold it to us. Over the wedding planning process, we had a number of requests (from a completely different food menu to a variety of activities on the day) and absolutely nothing was too much for the venue to organise or help with. Everything on the day was completely perfect, from the way that Becca was there to support us to all of the venue staff on the day, everything went so smoothly - the decor was laid out perfectly and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. Alethea’s communication throughout was incredible - she replied quickly and efficiently to every single email, calmed any stresses we had and made us feel so secure in knowing everything was going to be fine! From accommodating every request we had to the excellent running of the day we absolutely cannot thank you all enough for helping to create the best day of our lives.

From initial planning to the actual day you have been wonderful in doing all that we asked. Making changes when required. Sorting out accomodation for everyone.
The day was amazing, everyone commented how well it was organised and how lovely your staff were.
Food was top notch and the wine went down very well!! Especially my dad commented how nice the red was lol xx
We can't thankyou all enough for a lovely day, it was exactly as we wanted chilled and fun.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help and support leading up to our wedding day and for helping to make the day so incredibly special. You have been so helpful and accommodating throughout our wedding planning and nothing has been too much trouble for you - even the last minute change of drink selection a few days before the wedding. The room and venue looked amazing and you and the staff went above and beyond to make our day as perfect as possible.
Please also pass on my thanks to Jane for looking after us so well on the day. She was so lovely and did a fantastic job of ensuring everything ran seamlessly.
I was also told a staff member leant my brother some cuff links too which was incredibly kind.
I could not recommend you guys enough. Our day was just magical and I wish I could do it all over again!
